9. Embrace your inter City-Slicker at a family friendly Dude Ranch

You can experience western hospitality with some adventure mixed in at one of Montana’s many ranches. They have some excellent kid friendly working dude ranches. You can experience “the cowboy way” without sacrificing the comforts of first-class lodging. Guest ranches offer a variety of immersive and informative activities, including horseback riding, local cuisine, and an up-close look at what it means to work on a ranch. Each ranch offers its own unique style and offerings, including luxury accommodations, exciting treks through the backcountry, and authentic ranching activities. For those looking to enjoy a true Montana adventure, these working dude ranches and guest ranches offer gracious western hospitality with a bit of adventure.

Montana is all about outdoor fun and adventure. Also known as Big Sky Country, Montana ranges from the Rocky Mountains to the Great Plains. Its wide-open spaces include both Glacier and part of Yellowstone National Park. You can enjoy the wildlife from horseback, boat, bicycle or on foot. For the sportsperson, there is hunting, fishing, rock climbing, and golfing. Would you rather soak in a calming hot spring or go whitewater rafting? Either way Montana’s got you covered.

If you plan a trip in June I recommend you check out Real Bird's Little Bighorn & Custer Battle re-enactment.  This re-enactment of the Battle of the Little Bighorn is held every June on or near the Anniversary of  "Custer's Last Stand".  You will learn and experience the historic struggle for control of the
West told through the eyes of the Native Americans.  Tickets are sold at the event and grandstand seating is on a first come bases. Non professional photography and video are welcomed from the grandstand area.
